6 weeks (2016)
Overview
This project focused on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11, aiming to create cities that are safe, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable. Supported by UN-Habitat and under the UNESCO chair at Srishti Institute, the initiative utilized ethnographic research to explore Bengaluru’s diminishing green spaces due to rapid urbanization. Through visual communication, the project raised awareness about the importance of biodiversity and green infrastructure, highlighting the city’s transition from a "Garden City" to its current environmental challenges. The final outputs, including a coffee table book and tent cards, were designed to engage local stakeholders in protecting Bengaluru's natural heritage for a more sustainable future.
The awareness was a part of the UN conference, The New Urban agenda held in Quito, Ecuador on October 2016.
